Surveying 9444 patients we asked them to what extent they felt that the benefits of their medicine (in this case Metformin [Accord]) outweighed its disadvantages. A group of 75% replied that they felt to a large or even extreme extent that the advantages of taking their medication outweighed any disadvantages that Metformin [Accord] may have. 16% of the patients felt this and a reduced level and reported feeling only a moderate extent. At the bottom of the scale were 10% of the patients asked, who felt this was true to only a small extent or even reported a result of not at all.
9444 patients were recently asked how satisfied they were with the information and guidance they received with their Metformin [Accord]. 80% of those asked were either very satisfied or satisfied, which is great news. However, 14% of those asked were neither satisfied nor dissatisfied, which left 6% of patients feeling either dissatisfied or even worse very dissatisfied with the information and guidance they received with their medication.
