DrugsDisclosed has gathered medical insights from 5811 real-world patients taking budesonide (active ingredient). These patients are from different countries, lifestyles and healthcare systems, their unifying characteristic is the medicine they take.

5787 patients who were using budesonide (active ingredient) were asked how effective they found their medicine. 76% were very positive about budesonide (active ingredient) answering that they were very / extremely effective, however 17% felt budesonide (active ingredient) was only somewhat effective. Unfortunately 7% of the patients asked felt budesonide (active ingredient) had only a slight or very little effect for them.

We asked 5811 patients taking budesonide (active ingredient) how bothered they were by side effects from taking budesonide (active ingredient)? Of those asked 87% reported that they were not at all or only slightly bothered by any side effects, while 9% of those asked reported feeling somewhat bothered. Meaning that sadly 4% of patients using budesonide (active ingredient) felt very or extremely bothered by the side effects of taking budesonide (active ingredient).

5811 patients using budesonide (active ingredient) were asked how often they took their medicine as prescribed? 89% of those asked said they never, or only sometimes forget to take their budesonide (active ingredient) as prescribed, while 6% often forgot. We asked 5810 patients taking budesonide (active ingredient) how difficult they found it to take their medicine as prescribed? There can be many factors why they found it difficult to take as prescribed. 94% of those asked positively reported that they found it not at all or only somewhat difficult to take their budesonide (active ingredient) as prescribed, whereas 4% reported that they found taking the same medication very difficult. Sadly, there were still 2% who reported finding it extremely difficult for them to take their medicine as prescribed.

A patient survey asked 5811 patients just how confident they felt about taking budesonide (active ingredient)? 83% replied postivly that they felt either very or extremely confident when it came to taking budesonide (active ingredient). 13% of the patients replied they were only slightly confident, while 4% of them responded feeling only slightly confident when it came to taking budesonide (active ingredient).

We asked 5550 patients how necessary they found taking budesonide (active ingredient). 87% of the patients asked found budesonide (active ingredient) to be very or extremely necessary for them, while 10% found it to be only somewhat necessary. However, there are still 3% of patients using budesonide (active ingredient) who feel it is only slightly or even not at all necessary for them.

4489 patients were recently asked how often they forgot to take their medication? 78% of those asked never or rarely forgot their medication, while 15% of those taking budesonide (active ingredient) reported that they sometimes forgot. When we asked 5454 patients to what extent they felt that the benefits of their medicine outweighed its disadvantages a group of 83% of them replied that they felt to a large or even extreme extent that the advantages of taking budesonide (active ingredient) outweighed any disadvantages. 11% of the patients however felt this to a moderate extent leaving 7% who felt this was true to only a small extent or even felt not at all.

When asking 5454 patients taking budesonide (active ingredient) if they were satisfied with the information and guidance they received with their medication. 81% of them answered that they were very satisfied or satisfied while, 13% of were neither satisfied nor dissatisfied. That left 5% of patients feeling either dissatisfied or worse of all very dissatisfied when it came to the information and guidance they received with their budesonide (active ingredient).
