There are several reasons why it can be difficult for a patient to take their medication as prescribed. Luckily 92% of those asked felt that they found it not at all or only somewhat difficult to take their azathioprine (active ingredient) as prescribed by their doctor, 6% felt they found taking azathioprine (active ingredient) very difficult. 1368 patients taking azathioprine (active ingredient) were asked how often they forgot to take their medication? 78% of those asked said they never or rarely forgot to take their azathioprine (active ingredient), although 15% of patients taking azathioprine (active ingredient) reported that they sometimes forget to take their medication, even forgetting sometimes can have a negative effect on your treatment. 7% of patients sadly reported that they often or almost all the time forget their medication.

1430 patients were recently asked to what extent they felt that the benefits of azathioprine (active ingredient) outweighed its disadvantages? 69% of them answered positively saying they felt to large or extreme extent that the advantages of taking azathioprine (active ingredient) outweighed its disadvantages. However, 21% of the patients felt this only to a moderate extent and that meant that 10% felt only a small extent or worst of all, not at all.

When asking 1430 patients taking azathioprine (active ingredient) if they were satisfied with the information and guidance they received with their medication. 80% of them answered that they were very satisfied or satisfied while, 15% of were neither satisfied nor dissatisfied. That left 5% of patients feeling either dissatisfied or worse of all very dissatisfied when it came to the information and guidance they received with their azathioprine (active ingredient).
